Let the drive be D. So now type “dir D: attrib -s -h /s /d *.*” Now type then press enter.
Now the command prompt will explore your selected drive and will load all the files on your drive.
Now if you notice and unusual file.exe and any of autorun.inf then rename it with the command(rename filename.extension new filename)
That’s it now you can access your drives without affecting from viruses.

but the cmd seems to freak out because it just keeps on loading hundreds of files and never stops

Is there a short way to just serching the “autorun.inf” or something like that, when i try your way the cmd keep searching untill one drive and cmd can’t keep all the text so some ( allmost everything, depends on used space on drive ) of the text is can’t be seen again

Bro i have very dangerous virus which automatically installed avast antivirus. After few days of installation the laptop starts to show black screen with just the pointer on it. I tried various methods to start the laptop one of them also works so i started removing the virus with the avast. I have not read the infected files. I just deleted all the infected files and now i was trying to use your method to remove virus using command prompt and then i noticed that the cmd prompt is not opening and then it shows that the command prompt is uninstalle.
I need urgent help!!
